 坐井會的會徽及意義 |

坐井會成立於一九七二年，並於一九七六年正式獲香港政府批准註冊為非牟利學術團體，是香港四大公開業餘天文組織之一，現有會員三百五十多人。本會會址設於長沙灣，交通便利，離長沙灣地鐵站約五分鐘路程。會址佔地五百餘平方呎，設有圖書館、演講室及黑房。
Sky Observers' Association (Hong Kong) was founded on 1972. We are approved as a non-profit organization from Hong Kong Government on 1976. We are one of the amateur astronomy associations in Hong Kong. The existing number of members is around 350. We located in Cheung Sha Wan and it takes about 5 minutes walking from Cheung Sha Wan MTR station. Our flat is about 500 square feet including library, hall and darkroom.

每月舉辦觀星營；Monthly star parties
不過夜觀星活動；Regular non-overnight star parties
經常舉辦專題講座、天文課程、研討會及興趣小組；Organizes regular astronomy talks, courses, seminars and forums
研製天文儀器，進行天象攝影及觀測；Researches on astronomy equipments, astrophotographies and observations
舉辦季節性康樂活動，如釣墨魚、遠足等，以增進會員的認識；Organizes seasonal activities such as fishing, hiking, etc to enhance communications between members
聯絡國內外天文組織，進行學術觀摩交流。Communications with overseas astronomy organizations

本會歡迎每一位天文愛好者參加，不論是在職人士、中學生、甚至是小朋友（並無年齡限制）。參加手續十分簡便，只要填妥入會申請表格，經本會委員會批准，繳交會費即可。

Even you are working, a student or a child, we welcome every stargazer and astronomy lover to join us. The procedures of joining is very simple, please download the membership application form. After paying the fee and the approval from us, you will become our member.
會費 Membership fee
本會會員分為普通會員，基本會員，與永久會員三類： Memberships are divided to ordinary member, basic member and permanent member.

普通會員（十八歲以下） Ordinary member (below 18 years old) |
每年繳交會費100元正 Annual membership fee: HK$100 |
(二) |
基本會員（十八歲或以上） Basic member (18 years old or above) |
每年繳交會費170元正 Annual membership fee: HK$170 |
(三) |
永久會員 Permanent member |
一次過繳交1700元正（以後無需每年繳交） HK$1700, pay only once. |
另所有會員於入會時須繳交入會費30元正。Every member have to pay HK$30 when joining us at the first time or before termination of membership.
普通會員及基本會員的會藉有效期為由加入的日期起計十二個月。The membership of ordinary members and basic members valid 12 months from the date of joining.
另年齡在二十五歲以下的全日制學生如能出示學生證明文件及答應只收取本會電子通訊者，年費一律為 $100。
為回饋各位知音人，凡於2008年新入會者將獲贈活動星圖一份及一支紅色LED小電筒(價值$6)，以方便觀星。
以上禮物不設郵寄，各會員可於參加觀星營時或親上本會會址向本會委員索取。

本會對於推廣香港的天文活動不遺餘力
舉辦公開天文講座及課程，與太空館合辦公開天文活動；
為各社團、社區中心及學校主持天文講座、課程及觀星活動（如有需要，請與本會聯絡）；
3. 應康樂及文化事務署麥理浩夫人渡假村、曹公潭戶外康樂中心及創興水上活動中心邀請主持觀星活動；
經常透過各類傳媒，介紹天象知識；

本會對於各類特別天象，盡可能安排觀測或記錄。過去曾先後遠征國內外拍攝日全食奇景。部分會員對於天文攝影與望遠鏡磨製甚有心得。 We try to arrange observation and recording to special astronomy events. We have been overseas many times to take solar eclipse photos. Some of our members are keen on astrophotography, polishing mirror and making telescopes.
